Day 1: The Call to Conversion
O Virgin Mary, Mother of La Salette, You appeared in tears to alert us to our sins and our distance from God. Today, we humbly acknowledge our faults and turn to You, imploring Your help to change our lives. Lord God, have mercy on us, sinners. Guide us on the path of conversion and give us the strength to resist temptation. May Your grace transform us and make us worthy of Your infinite love. We offer You our contrite hearts, Lord, so that You can fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
Day 2: Prayer and Recollection
Our Lady of La Salette, You reminded us of the importance of prayer and recollection in our daily lives. We have often neglected these precious moments of communion with God. Help us to find the time to pray with fervor and to meditate on the Word of God. Lord Jesus, teach us to pray with the heart, to listen to Your voice, and to be guided by Your Holy Spirit. Open our ears to Your call and illuminate our path. May prayer be our refuge and our strength. Amen.
Day 3: Respect for the Name of God
Virgin Mary, You deplored the lack of respect for the name of God. We have often uttered blasphemies and used the name of God in vain. Forgive us, Lord, for our offenses. Give us the grace to always honor Your sacred name and to pronounce it with respect and love. May our words always be a source of blessing and praise to Your glory. Teach us to witness to Your holiness through our words and deeds. Amen.
Day 4: The Sanctification of Sunday
Our Lady of La Salette, You emphasized the importance of sanctifying the Lord’s Day. We have often missed Mass and neglected Sunday rest. Help us to rediscover the joy of celebrating the Lord’s Day in communion with our brothers and sisters. Lord, give us the desire to actively participate in Mass and to dedicate our Sunday to Your glory and the service of our neighbors. May this day be a time of rest and spiritual renewal. Amen.
Day 5: Penance and Forgiveness
Virgin of La Salette, You invite us to penance and forgiveness. We have often held grudges and refused to forgive those who have offended us. Help us to open our hearts to forgiveness and to ask for forgiveness for our own offenses. Lord, give us the strength to forgive as You have forgiven us. May Your infinite mercy free us from hatred and bitterness. Teach us to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us. Amen.
Day 6: Mercy towards the Poor
Our Lady of La Salette, You showed great compassion for the poor and the suffering. We have often been indifferent to their distress. Help us to be more attentive to the needs of our brothers and sisters and to share our goods with those in need. Lord, give us a compassionate and generous heart. May our love translate into concrete actions of solidarity and charity. Teach us to recognize Your presence in the face of every person in need. Amen.
Day 7: Hope in Tribulation
Virgin Mary, You are our Mother of Hope. In difficult times, we have often lost courage and despaired. Help us to maintain confidence in divine providence and to believe in the victory of good over evil. Lord, strengthen our faith and our hope. May Your light shine in our darkness and guide us to eternal peace and joy. Teach us to persevere in tribulation and to find strength in Your love. Amen.
Day 8: Faith and Trust
Our Lady of La Salette, You call us to faith and trust in God. We have often doubted Your love and Your presence. Help us to strengthen our faith and to abandon ourselves to Your will. Lord, increase our faith and our trust in Your mercy. May our lives be a testimony to Your love and Your faithfulness. Teach us to walk in faith, without seeing, but believing. Amen.
Day 9: Reconciliation and Peace
Virgin Mary, Mother of Reconciliation, we conclude this novena by imploring Your intercession for peace in the world and reconciliation among all people. May Your message of La Salette bear fruits of conversion and forgiveness in every heart. Lord, give us the peace and joy of living in communion with You and with our brothers and sisters. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
