Archangel Saint Raphael: The Companion of Travelers and the Sick: Saint Raphael is one of the seven archangels who stand before the throne of God. His name means “God heals.” In Scripture, he appears as the benevolent guide of young Tobias, protecting him from the dangers of the journey and bringing healing to his father. He embodies divine care, watching over our physical and spiritual health while illuminating our uncertain paths. When to Invoke Saint Raphael? It is particularly recommended to turn to Saint Raphael during times of illness or convalescence to ask for strength and recovery. He is also traditionally invoked before embarking on a journey, whether short or long, to ensure heavenly protection. He is also the patron saint of “happy encounters,” ideal to pray to when seeking a guide or a faithful life companion.
