    Consecration to the Immaculate Conception

O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God and our Mother, I cast myself into the arms of thy mercy, and I place my soul and body in thy blessed hands from this day forward and for all eternity.

I, [Name], a faithless sinner, renew and ratify this day in thy hands, the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.

In the presence of all the heavenly court, I choose thee this day for my Mother and Queen. I deliver and consecrate to thee, as thy slave, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present and future; leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure, for the greater glory of God, in time and in eternity.

Receive, O benign Mother, this offering of myself, and obtain for me the grace to be so faithful to it that I may one day, through thy intercession, be united with thee in glory, there to praise the mercy of thy Son for ever and ever. Amen.

    Contexte Historique

The practice of consecrating oneself to the Blessed Virgin Mary has ancient roots in the Church, famously promoted by saints like Louis de Montfort. This particular form of consecration focuses on Mary’s singular privilege of the Immaculate Conception, proclaimed as dogma by Pope Pius IX in 1854. By consecrating themselves to the Immaculate Conception, the faithful entrust their souls to her who was preserved from all stain of original sin, seeking her powerful intercession and perfect example of purity and obedience to God’s will. It is an act of profound trust in her maternal care and her ability to lead souls closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.
